General Information - Demographics
Germany has a population of 80 million inhabitants and is a member of the European Union (EU) and the European Board of Urology (EBU). 300 Urological Departments are operating all over the country. There are 14000 Urologists (1 urologist per 5,714 inhabitants) and 1700 Residents (1 resident per approx. 8 urologists).

years of urological training and one year of surgical training. Afterwards an
oral examination.
Career prospects
Working
as a clinical urologist, as practitioner
or in industry. No prerequisites, only the urological exam.
